Why Here?
Northern Cyprus has a population of 880,000 who are Turkish speaking people. While there are some people working there to spread the gospel, we have been told that they are finding it hard, or in their words “nearly impossible” to preach the gospel, especially to Turkish speakers.
24/7 Christian FM Broadcast
This island is a mix of peoples, from local Cypriots to Turks who have come to live to many different internationals who are studying at universities. We want all of these people to hear the good news of the Gospel. Never before has there been a Christian FM broadcast in the Northern part of this island, especially in Turkish!
Our experience shows the power of 24/7 Christian broadcast over FM radio, it softens spiritual ground allowing the seed of God’s word to take root in the hearts of people who hear it. Having an FM station builds legitimacy for the spread of our message, as it is a known location that can be reached by real people.
While our main focus is Turkish, we know that 60% of the population speaks English, and we also want to reach the internationals there. Through Petra Media Group we have ready access to quality Turkish Christian programming. However, we need Biblical English programs: teaching, testimonial and encouraging.
